Over the past few decades we have seen a growing number of Catholics abandoning their faith, choosing to abstain from participation in the Sacraments, weekly services, and parish ministries. Recent data has shown that non-practicing and ex-Catholics are seen as one of the largest growing denominations of Christians in the world. Contributing factors identified in leading this exodus of the faithful include the continuing financial and sexual scandals involving Church leaders even to the highest levels of the Vatican, along with a complacent clergy's lack of scripturally sound, inspirational messaging being delivered from the pulpit. The true Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ is being diluted by our Church to appease the faithful and conform to ungodly doctrines that are so present in the world today.

 

'VOCAL' was created as an online, lay ministry to deliver resources and encouragement to all Catholics, ex-Catholics, 'would be' Catholics, 'recovering' Catholics, and Christians everywhere seeking to engage in a renewal of their faith. Our aspirations are to be heard as one voice, rising above the silence, greed, complacency, and flagrant immorality that has manifested itself in the clergy and Church leadership today and throughout its history.  

 

We seek to proclaim the truths of the 'Word of God' and the essential Gospel lessons of 'salvation by faith.'
